The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) recently announced that it will hold a public meeting on Thursday, October 18, 2012. The meeting will begin at 1:30 p.m. and will be held at the MGCB Detroit office, Cadillac Place, 3062 West Grand Blvd., Suite L-700, Detroit.

The purpose of the meeting is to give 2013 Race Meet License Applicants and other interested persons an opportunity to provide information to the Executive Director regarding the pending 2013 Race Meet License applications and the eligibility and fitness of the respective applicants for licensure under the licensing conditions and requirements of the state’s horse racing law and rules of the Office of Racing Commissioner.

The MGCB is also scheduled to hold its regular monthly public meeting on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. at their Cadillac Place offices.  The purpose of this meeting will be to conduct Board business regarding the implementation, administration and enforcement of the provisions of the Michgian Gaming Control & Revenue Act,as amended, Public Act 69 of 1997, MCL 432.201, et seq, related to the licensing, regulation and conduct of casino gaming in the City of Detroit.  Below are the proposed agenda items that will be addressed at the October 23 meeting.
