Michigan Gaming Control Board

The Michigan Gaming Control Board licenses and regulates the Detroit commercial casinos, suppliers and employees. The MGCB also oversees the Disassociated Persons Program.

American Gaming Association (AGA)

The AGA is the trade association for the commercial gaming industry. The AGA plays an important role in developing industry-wide programs on critical issues such as disordered gambling and underage gambling.

International Center for Responsible Gaming (ICRG)

The International Center for Responsible Gaming (ICRG) is a nonprofit that funds rigorous, peer-reviewed scientific research and provides evidence-based education to understand, prevent, and treat gambling /responsible-gaming/disorders. Their work informs public policy and strengthens responsible-gaming practices, helping individuals and families affected by gambling-related harm.

Michigan Association on Problem Gaming

The Michigan Association on Problem Gambling is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting those affected by gambling addiction through education, prevention, and advocacy. They operate a 24/7 helpline (1-800-GAMBLER), offer treatment referrals and peer support such as Gamblers Anonymous, and help individuals enroll in self-exclusion programs. Their work frames problem gambling as a public health issue and promotes policies that expand access to recovery resources.

Michigan Department of Community Health

This state agency provides a problem gambling help phone line and other informational resources in efforts to combat problem gambling in Michigan.

National Council on Problem Gaming

The NCPG is devoted to problem gambling and works to increase public awareness of pathological gaming and to provide prevention and treatment for problem gamblers and their families.
