Detroit Casinos Report $112.57M in July Revenue

On August 11, 2026, the Michigan Gaming Control Board (“MGCB”) reported that Detroit’s three commercial casinos generated $112.57 million in aggregate revenue (“AGR”) in July 2026, including $111.64 million from table games and slots and $929,704 in qualified adjusted gross receipts (“QAGR”) from retail sports betting.

Table games and slot revenue increased 5.3% compared with July 2025 and 9.6% from June 2026. Through July 31, revenue was up 1.9% year-over-year. MGM held the largest market share at 47%, followed by MotorCity at 31% and Hollywood Casino at Greektown at 22%.

The casinos paid $9.0 million in state gaming taxes in July and reported $13.3 million in wagering taxes and development agreement payments to the City of Detroit. MGM generated $52.5 million in table games and slot revenue, followed by MotorCity with $34.32 million and Hollywood Casino at Greektown with $24.82 million.

Retail sports betting handle totaled $5.88 million, with QAGR increasing 11.2% from June but decreasing 9.9% compared with July 2025. MotorCity reported the highest QAGR at $461,165, followed by MGM at $360,265 and Hollywood Casino at Greektown at $108,274.

For June 2026, fantasy contest operators reported $494,799 in adjusted revenues and paid $41,563 in taxes.
